Fortune Institute of Communication and Television (FICT) has been established with the vision of providing the electronic media industry with the most well-trained professionals. With this vision in mind, FICT has designed all the programmes, that ensures the students not only get  a solid base in the theoretical aspects but also hands on experience of the latest technology and equipments being used in the industry.

FICT is headed by Ms. Jai Chandiram, Former Deputy Director General, Doordarshan and Ex. Executive Director, EMPC, IGNOU.

FICT will have a fully air conditioned studio having dimensions 55 ft. x 35 ft. x 22ft.  a size as large as you would find in television channels. Other facilities include a separate news studio, editing labs, computer workstations etc.

All the studios and labs at FICT have advanced equipment and softwares. Thus, while the news studio enables students to perform under real life conditions with a teleprompter & sophisticated lighting, the graphics and animation suite provides students with understanding of various 2D & 3D softwares.. The video editing suite enables students to practice all the basic as well as advanced aspects of linear/non-linear editing.

Fortune Institute of Communication & Television (FICT) was established by Late Mr. R.K. Shrivastava, Founder, Fortune Group of Companies. A graduate from IIM-Calcutta, Mr. Shrivastava was the visionary behind transforming the Fortune Group from a small sized export house to a diversified group having operations in businesses ranging from  Textiles, Pharmaceuticals , Manufacturing to Exports of commodities. 

The group's first initiative into education was in the year 1995 when it established Fortune Institute of International Business (approved and accredited by AICTE, HRD Ministry, Govt. of India). FIIB is one of the premier business schools in India imparting management education of the highest standards in the area of international business.
