Q: What are the advantages of undertaking a programme at FICT? top
A: FICT’s advantage lies in its Faculty , equipment/infrastructure and the scientifically designed and practically oriented course structure. FICT has one of the best faculty, both full time as well as Guest Faculty. Our core faculty consists of highly experienced professionals from the industry and currently headed by Ms. Jai Chandiram, ex-Deputy Director General, Doordarshan and Former Executive Director, EMPC, IGNOU. Our Guest faculty includes renowned media professionals like Wasim Rashid from Sahara T.V., Ms. Sukanya Balakrishnan ,Mr. Satish Jacob from ABC Channel etc. . We have a separate News Studio, Editing Labs and a well equipped Computer Lab. Our practical oriented course structure has been designed according to the demand of the industry, with inputs from the media professionals.

A: This programme is designed to expose the students to every aspect of Production. In the initial period of the program the student is multi-skilled in all the elements of Production. At a later stage, he/she specializes in one of the areas of Production i.e, Live T.V. Production, Videography, Video Editing, Computer Graphics and Animation or Community T.V.

A: After completing this course , a student can pursue a career in a wide variety of areas such as Production, Direction, Video Editing, Graphic Designers, Animation Experts, Video graphy, Electronic Field Production & Direction, Media critic / analyst and script writer.

A: The basic eligibility is Graduation. Candidates having industry experience will be preferred. 10+2 candidates having exceptional ability will also be considered.

A: This program is being taught by Journalists / News Presenters from the media industry. Practical training is given in our ‘News Studio’ with a Teleprompter, sophisticated lighting and an actual studio like environment.

Q: Does the institute have all the requisite infrastructure for delivering the practical training ? top
A: We ensure that not only do our students get a solid base into theoretical aspects but also hands on experience of the latest technology and equipments being used in the industry. We have a fully air conditioned studio which is as large as you would find in television channels, a separate News Studio, Editing labs, Still Photography Studio and a well equipped Computer Lab. In fact , some of the institutes use our facilities for the practical training of their students.

A: The candidates must apply on a prescribed form attatched in the Prospectus, available at Fortune Institute of Communication & Television(FICT), G-17D, South Extention, Part-II , New Delhi-110049.

A: The students would be intimated about the examination/interview by post , Telephone calls and through e-mails.

A: A sample question paper is not provided. However sample questions can be provided to the students on request.
