Multi-Camera Studio

The campus has a separate studio for anchoring and news presenting. The ultimate test for the effectiveness of a news presenter is when he/she performs in front of the camera. Students of the news presenting programme are given the opportunity to perform under real life conditions with a teleprompter, sophisticated lighting and the actual studio like environment. Direction students use the studio for creating game shows, drama and music shows.
 

Computer Graphics & Animation Suite

The Computer Graphics and animation workstations at FICT are equipped with all the latest equipments and 2D and 3D softwares required by students. Students are provided understanding on most of the major softwares.

 

Video Editing Suite

Video Editing is one of the specialization areas for students pursuing the Post Graduate Diploma in T.V. Production. The video editing suite enables students to practice all the basic as well as advanced aspects of real time non linear video editing.

 

Library & Resource Centre

Promoting independent thinking and exploration is one of the main objectives of the FICT programmes. This is possible only when students get the opportunity to undertake self learning beyond the classroom learning. Our Resource Centre and Library are equipped with a large number of VHS Cassettes, VCD’s and DVD’s of classic Television / film production. The resource centre has modern facilities for Group Previews as well as personal headphones for an individual to work without being disturbed.
 

FICT FACILITIES FOR HIRE :
FICT is equipped with a state of the art television studio, complete with a production control room (PCR) and a television studio with teleprompter and a three-camera setup. The studio also offers blue screen shooting facility for chroma shoot. The studio can be used for interviews and performance based productions like dance and music.

EDITING FACILITIES :
The editing lab at FICT has the required linear and non-linear editing facilities. For non-linear editing the studio has “Velocity 8.2” Linear editing suite comprises of Beta cut-to-cut setup is also available

GRAPHICS FACILITY :
FICT also offers complete graphics solution  by way of eight workstations based graphics lab. Titling, compositing, animation, special effects and programme packaging are all  done in-house.
