Dear Participants,
Information technology has conquered the last decade. With the advent of Cable TV and the increasing affordability of television sets in common households, the modern era belongs to media and mass communication. IT has contributed significantly to effective evolution of mass communication and Television.

Our lives are not left untouched by television, be it in business, politics, entertainment or education. Television takes precedence over every other form of media and is very effective in communicating directly and in the fastest possible manner with the masses.

Fortune Institute Communication and Television (FICT) provides programme for the new millennium. These programme help candidates develop a career in the Television industry, an industry, which provides boundless opportunities and challenges. Programme of the Institute have been enriched with the advice of acclaimed and renowned members of Advisory Council and its Chairman Shri Bhaskar Ghose, IAS (Retd.), Former Director General of Doordarshan and Secy. Ministry of I & B. Our distinguished faculty members have both, an in-depth knowledge and vast practical experience in the media industry. FICT offers its participants a platform for enhancing their personality, thereby making them experts in their chosen field with skills and practical training.

The Indian Entertainment Sector has attracted global attention in the recent years with growing opportunities for our people, particularly the youth. It has opened up diverse areas of employment.

Fortune Society is committed to encouraging quality education and contributes to the development of human resources. India being the 3rd largest market in the World next only to China & US, offers tremendous opportunities for Indian media industry to enhance its market share globally. Modernization, expansion of technological inputs in distribution infrastructure, would contribute a great deal in enhancing growth in this sector by increasing the penetration and reach of media to vast majority of households. With the natural advantage of world class computer software professionals, Indian animation industry is poised for a major leap forward. Quality training of professionals in the diverse skills dictated by the technological changes in the media industry is a major challenge before us. I am sure FICT will meet this requirement in view of excellent training facilities, highly qualified and experienced faculty and very effective linkages with the Industry.
