Students of all programmes are provided with placement assistance in the specific areas of specializations. Television Production graduates are placed as Television Producers/Directors, Production Assistants, Camerapersons and Video Editors. Television Journalism graduates are placed as Reporters, News presenters Anchors and at desk jobs in the newsroom.
FICT's extensive network with the industry enables placements of students in the industry at the best positions.
One of the reasons for our placements being such a big success has been the practical understanding that the students have been provided with, during the programme. This practical understanding is because of the hands-on experience on various types of equipment as well as the Internship undertaken by our students in the best of media companies. Due to their expertise, students from FICT have a head start in the industry.
All students are provided with internships in the industry. The duration of internships can vary from 4 to 10 weeks. The internships serve multiple purposes such as providing students with practical knowledge, give them a deeper understanding of the working of the industry and provide the opportunity to prove them in professional environment. Many students are retained by the company as employees. |
